Visit to Federico II's Castle

Tommaso took me and Isabella to visit Federico II's Castle. It was more to let Isabella see a real castle since Tommaso and I had already seen this in the past. She really enjoed it!

Happy 8th Anniversary!

Today is our 8th wedding anniversary and my honey sent me those beautiful roses. They are absolutely gorgeous! Thank you, honey!

At the beach at last.......

Finally Tuesday we had our firts beautiful day at the beach. The sun was out and the water was flat and clean as a pool. If you look at the pictures close enough you can see how clear the water is.

Taranto

This is the city of Taranto. It is situated on the Ionio sea and it is a commercial amd military port. Martina Franca is part of the Taranto county.

On the bridge. This is a swing bridge.

This is an interesting fact. Notice all the lockets on the grate of the bridge? I have been here many and many times and this is the first time I saw all this lockets. Apparently, it is a new phenomana here. Couples who fall in love came on this bridge. They write their names on the locket, then hang it, close it and throw the key in the sea as a symbol that they are locked together as one and that their love will last forever!

To the zoo

Sunday afternoon we went to the Zoo. It is kind of cool in the sense that you drive with your car and some of the animals will walk and put their heads in the window to be pet.

A visit to Triggiano

The other day we took the train again and went to Triggiano where Franco and Cristina live. The train ride took almost two hours. Isabella kept asking: "Are we there yet? Are we there yet? Are we there yet?"....yes..very fun.
